First I might say that I am Japanese and my family has owned a house on the main island for years. This tastes like any Moco loco you can find locally which is a great thing. I would rather eat this for breakfast than any of the other freeze dried breakfast offerings out there. I did not need to add anything to this for it to taste amazing. Now the bad. The bag sucks. The material is flimsy and the ziploc didn't work because it was already separated from the bag. That being said, I did appreciate the smaller pouch size so that my hand didn't get dirty reaching in with a spoon. It's also good that the bottom was gusseted. I would highly recommend it overall. Also, my second order got sent out very quickly and I appreciate quick shipping.
Hey there! Thank you so much for the review. Sorry to hear that you had that experience with the packaging. To date we have not had that feedback but it is good feedback none the less and something we will take seriously as wel grow. We want the user experience to be a good one for you from end to end. We consciously made the decision to go with a thinner pouch for our meals for several reasons. One is that it generates less waste and also we wanted a more flexible offering so that these pouches can be more packable in food bags, bear canisters etc. where the thicker more traditional pouches can be a bit of a problem in that regard. Feedback like this will definitely make the product better in the future so thank you, we can always do better!
I ordered the Loco Moco Brunch Skillet based on the name only! But when I tasted it on the trail out in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area here in Northern Minnesota I was amazed at the taste! Most of the time freeze dried boil in the bag meals are just okay, but this was fresh and tasted like real food! The texture and seasoning were just right, and the portion was filling. I will be ordering more Trail Goods meals for my backpacking trips for sure.

If I could give this product 10 stars I so would. I went camping this weekend and my best friend was a bit skeptical. Once she ate she was eyeing mine like Are you going to finish that? This was probably the best I've ever had and for her the first. We are in love. We can't wait to try some of your others@

I appreciate so much how different this meal is and how delicious it is. It says brunch skillet but I have been eating it for breakfast and dinner. The mushrooms add a really nice texture and flavor to this one. Thanks Luke for creating a unique flavor I haven’t seen from any other brand.
