About Us
I started Trail Goods Co. because I got fed up.
In 2020 I thru-hiked the Colorado Trail, 500 miles through some of the most demanding terrain in the country. Somewhere along the way I stopped being able to eat. Not because I wasn't hungry, I was starving. But the meals I had with me tasted like cardboard soaked in sodium and I couldn't make myself finish them. I lost 45 pounds on that trail. That's not a badge of honor. That's a problem that nobody had bothered to solve.
I've spent most of my life outside. I grew up camping with my family, guided 8-week wilderness tours across South America, walked 800 kilometers across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, and have logged thousands of miles on trails across this country and beyond. I know what it feels like to be exhausted, hungry, and craving something that actually tastes like food.
So I made it myself.
Trail Goods Co. is built on one simple idea: the meal at the end of a hard day should be worth looking forward to. Every meal we make is fully cooked from fresh ingredients before it's ever freeze-dried. No fillers, no shortcuts, no artificial anything. Just real food, made with care, by someone who has walked the miles and knows what it means to earn a good meal.
We're a small, Colorado-born company and that's exactly how I want it. This isn't a corporation. It's a kitchen, a passion, and a promise that the food in your pack is as good as the adventure you're on.
I can't wait to see where you take it.
